Online tutorials are a great asset to the internet because they provide easily accesible content for everybody. Students will appreciate the design and creation element of this site, and teachers will appreciate the development of resources students are able to work. Very easily integrated into mathematics, science and technology subjects areas.

"SketchUp" is a program that allows you to create 3D models, a great tool for the designing and developing phases in Technology Education. There are online self paced video tutorials, allowing student centred learning, and assisting the non-technological savvy educator. There are free SketchUp down loads available, all the more reason to try it out!

It is programs like this one that will effectively extend and elaborate on student learning through the design and development phases of working. These ICT tools are very much part of the student's world, and it is likely that the student will have more prior knowledge than the teacher on which to construct this new learning. There are examples for appropriate use for teachers like myself who would not know where to start!
