The Ultimate Fighting Championship
UFC is a U.S. based mixed martial arts where two fighters, enters the octagon (an eight sided battle place) and pits each other, each using different fighting styles such as wrestling, muay thai, kick boxing, jujitsu, kenpo, etc. Having only one style wouldn't survive in the ufc that's why it is called mixed martial arts. Furthermore, the whole purpose of the ufc originally was to determine which fighting is the best, since everybody always claimed theirs was. The ultimate Fighting Championship has now turned into a multi million dollar sport and is getting more known. Expect the numbers to increase a lot more this year.
3 main elements
Ground arts: BJJ for example covers next to no standing work. JJ covers the throws of Judo (Only slightly less of them) and ground work. Both also cover submissions.
Wrestling works to improve your position, but is why a lot of wrestlers can't finish.
UFC has many events that are not billed by the fighters but by many organization.
