The days are getting longer, the sun is getting warmer and, in a couple of weeks time you’ll be heading for the open water to experience that first ‘ice cream’ headache of the year. Somewhere along the way you’ll drag the faithful wetsuit out of whatever hole you buried it in for the winter and, as you look at its sadly wrinkled neoprene and tapestry of nicks and cuts, you’ll realise that it’s probably time that you invested in a new one. But, which one? Gone are the days when there were just two or three options – today you’re spoilt for choice at every stage of the market. There are more brands and more suits than makes sense, each touting its own special mix of neoprene or detailing that will, apparently, make you the fastest thing in, on, or through the water since, well, the last one that they made! It’s confusing, to say the least...
