When I talk to people in church I like to use words that one might use in conversation with actual humans.
I want to be a model of good health for my children. But let’s be realistic.
Thanksgiving is over, and now it's time for the next big event on our holiday calendar: Black Friday
I like Thanksgiving more than Christmas. Now before you go to a dark place, hear me out.

When we moved into a neighborhood that boasts an outdoor holiday lighting contest, it sounded like fun. Then I met my neighbor, a.k.a. the “Christmas Enforcer.”
Our own ventriloquist and comedian Taylor Mason hits the Big Apple next week for a month-long run at HA! Comedy Club in NYC. The show starts next Tuesday, December 9th, and runs through January 4th. Taylor brings his collection of puppets for this all ages holiday spectacular. One day a church leader pointed out that I only volunteered for things that put me in some kind of limelight. Boy, did he nail it.
